Serving the Community of Florence
About Us
The 1866 Coffee & Tea House is more than a coffee house — it’s about connection. As a neighborhood coffee house and store, we proudly bring the Florence community together, one cup at a time.
The story of The 1866 Coffee & Tea House is inspired by the frontier spirit that shaped Arizona — a time when hard work mattered, neighbors looked out for one another, and a good meal or strong cup of coffee was something to be savored. The name1866 nods to a rugged era of new beginnings, where towns were built on grit, resilience, and community. Just like the early gathering houses of the frontier, the 1866 Coffee & Tea House was created as a place to rest your boots, share a story, and enjoy honest food and coffee made right.
Owned by Kevin and Sabrina Johnston, The 1866 Coffee & Tea House reflects a deep respect for Florence’s history and the timeless cowboy way of life. Kevin and Sabrina set out to build more than a coffee shop — they built a modern-day gathering place rooted in tradition. With handcrafted coffee and tea, baked-fresh pastries, hearty sandwiches, and genuine hospitality, the 1866 Coffee & Tea House carries forward the spirit of the frontier.
What makes Florence special is its people. It’s a town where newcomers are welcomed with open arms, conversations come easily, and community spirit runs deep.
There’s comfort in the familiar and joy in knowing you’re part of something close-knit, genuine, and full of heart.
Our mission goes beyond serving strong coffee. It’s about creating a welcoming space rooted in community and connection, where everyone feels they belong. We believe in the power of conversation, shared moments, and the simple joy of coming together — and with every cup we serve, we aim to bring people closer, one coffee at a time.
